3D Knee Imaging
for Total Knee Replacement
What is 3D Knee Imaging?
Using MRI scans and specialized software, an exact 3D model of the patient’s knee joint is created. Dr. Eggert utilizes this data to establish the patient’s mechanical access and have personalized implants made for getting the very best long-term results.
Benefits of
Total Knee Replacement

Customized to you
Painful wear and tear on the knees often leads to knee replacement surgery. Traditional implants come in different sizes, but Dr. Eggert’s 3D knee approach is tailored to a patient’s specific anatomy. In other words, it’s customized to you, rather than your bones being made to match the standard knee implant.

Less Invasive
3D knee imaging allows the replacement surgery procedure to be less invasive because the bone cuts are much smaller and doesn’t require cutting tendons. Less bone removal means a stronger and better fit between the bone and the knee implant, as there is more surface area to work with.

Can last longer and function better
3D imaging allows for an exact fit of a knee implant and restore mechanical axis and get that to a very close tolerance of what is perfect, with less wear or risk of future complications, improving mobility for years to come.

Up and walking within hours
3D knee imaging results in a better fit than traditional knee replacements. This allows for a much faster recovery time and fewer therapy sessions because the range of motion is better. Most patients can toss their cane back into the closet within only a few weeks.
Patient Satisfaction:
The most important outcome.
